Learning Outside

Learning Outside

Learning outside the classrooms is an important part of PAS.Our role as educators is to nourish and encourage them by valuing their inquiries and providing the environment and resources to pursue and realise them. These environments include the classroom but also move beyond the classroom spaces, into the playgrounds and local communities.

Active movement helps a student to:

  • Develop intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually as well as physically.
  • Build the foundations for learning, moving and communicating.
  • Be healthy and happy, confident and feel loved.

Students have the opportunity to go on field trips to local museums and public places in order to develop trans-disciplinary learning. Learning that is connected to life and that develops both skills, knowledge and deeper understanding.
